Foxcroft Riders Come out on Top at first IEA Competition of the Season

Foxcroft's IEA team hit the road for their first regular season competition last Saturday, September 16, at Wulf Crest Stables in Leesburg, VA. With a small team of only six riders, including three rookies in the IEA format, Foxcroft put points on the board in every class and finished the day with a win with just a one-point difference between the Champion and Reserve Champion teams.
IEA newbie Aradeal H. '26 began the day with a win in the Open Fences class, giving Foxcroft a boost of confidence right out of the gate. Consistency was the name of the game for us this weekend, with every rider placing in their respective classes, accumulating both team and individual points. Junior AnnaMaria C. kept up the momentum with a strong second-place finish in a tough Novice Flat class. Heading into the last class, the team was sitting in fourth place, but Foxcroft 9th grader and new IEA rider Sammie M. brought home the win in the JV Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter class, giving us the points to jump to the top of the scoreboard!

Coaches Allie Pelz and Kendall Bear could not be more proud of the solid sportsmanship, thoughtful riding, and stellar teamwork that the IEA riders demonstrated this weekend. Next on the show calendar is the IEA at Clairvaux Stables in Leesburg, VA, on October 7.
