Foxcroft IEA Hosts Competitive Home Show

Foxcroft School hosted its home IEA show this past Saturday, October 14, in the Jean DuPont McConnell Stables and Riding Arena. With approximately 70 rides, nine classes, and 16 horses, the eight members of the Foxcroft IEA team had their hands full. With the help of about ten student volunteers, the Foxcroft team was able to not only run a great show but focus on competing as well. A special thanks goes out to our volunteers — we couldn't have done it without all your help!

The horse show began on a great foot, with Valeska F. '26 securing the win in the Open Fences class, beating out nine riders to claim the top prize. She rode a smooth and accurate track on our beloved horse, Chris, who has been graciously loaned to us by Irene B. '24.

Foxcroft riders continued to put up a good fight against a competitive group of teams throughout the day. Congratulations to AnnaMaria C. '25, Anneliese C. '26, and Sammie M. '27 for earning top three honors in their respective classes.

Despite finishing the day at the bottom of the team results, we could not be more pleased with our horses and riders representing Foxcroft well and working hard to put on a great show. The IEA team will be back in action at Century Manor on December 10, 2023.
