Brilliant Performances at “London Calling” Fall Revue

Last Friday evening, a talented group of students sang, danced, and entertained a packed FoxHound Auditorium during the “London Calling” fall revue. The scene was stunning, the audience was attentive, and the performances were incredible.
Chorale and Theater Production opened the revue with a performance of Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend,” and the acts that followed all stayed with the theme of highlighting musicians from across the pond. Soloists sang love songs, ballads, and classic tunes, including Ava B. ’24 (Lulu’s “To Sir With Love”) Anna C. ’25 (Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times”), Elise L. ’26 (Cat Stevens’ “Wild World”), Ava D. ’26 (Petula Clark’s “Downtown”), Emmy Q. ’24 (Elton John’s “Your Song”), and Moriah F. ’24 (Adele’s “Easy On Me).

Several performances brought British rock and roll energy to the production, including soloists Anila S. ’25 (The Pretenders’ “Brass in Pocket”) and Valentina D. ’26 (Radiohead’s “Creep”). Dance students took the stage performing choreography to “London Calling” by The Clash, sung by Reese W. ’25, and the Class of 2027 performed a rendition of the popular 90’s pop song “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls. The Beatles’ “Hello, Goodbye” was a fitting finale by Chorale and Theater Production.

If you were unable to attend — or even if you did — you can enjoy all of the performances via the photo and video galleries attached to this article.

Kudos to each cast and crew member for their hard work bringing "London Calling" to the FoxHound stage! Shout out to drummer Shea G. ’25, who accompanied the performers, as well as Music Teacher and Coordinator Sonny Capaccio, Dean of Academics Steve McCarty, and Sam Thorndike. Special thanks to Fine Arts Department members Director Karin Thorndike, Dance Instructor Rylee Simmons, and Mr. Capaccio for guiding the performers straight through to the final bow. Shout out to the Operations team and Assistant Dean for Student Experience Alexis Hall ’12 for lending many hands along the way. And a huge thank you to the Tech Crew for their work on lighting, sound, and all the behind-the-scenes components of an absolutely brilliant show!
